In past years, this Festival has given birth to shows such as David Auburn’s Proof which became one of the most-produced plays of the decade, winning multiple Tony Awards and the Pulitzer Prize; and our own The Spitfire Grill, which began here as a Next Stage reading, was produced on our mainstage, moved to New York, was awarded the prestigious Richard Rodgers Award and has now been produced at over 100 theatres across the country.
